Naked Heart Foundation Plans Valentine’s Day Auction
On Valentine’s Day eve, an auction will be held in Moscow in favor of Natalia Vodianova’s charity. Some of the major items to be sold will be lots of top models portraits from artist David Datong.

The American artist David Datong donated to the Naked Heart Foundation a portrait of its president – Natalia Vodianova. The painting was done in an original manner – the image is under a layer of hundreds of optical lenses.
‘The auction will be held in Moscow on the eve of Valentine’s Day – told Metro Vera Chernysh, a spokesman for MIRONOVA GALLERY. ‘The starting price is 100 thousand dollars. How much of the work will be sold, we will only know after the auction’.”

Vogue was witness to a magical moment behind closed doors yesterday afternoon. The rendezvous at the Musée Nissim de Camodo, was between Valentino Garavani and Natalia Vodianova, meeting in secret to make final tweaks to the fantasy dress the grand couturier has made for her to wear tonight. Guests invited to Vodianova’s White Fairy Tale Love Ball have already scoured Paris and their vintage wardrobes to adhere to a “Silver and White” dress code, as they get ready for an evening at Valentino’s country residence at Wideville, credit cards flexed, to bid on 45 dresses donated by an A–Z of international designers.
Valentino has lent Vodianova the gardens of his Chateau de Wideville, for an assembly of the super-rich she intends to entice to meet the five-million-euro record she set in Moscow, at the 2008 launch of her Russian playgrounds-for-children project, The Naked Heart Foundation. “People are coming from all over—Moscow, Saint-Tropez, Tuscany,” she said, fielding calls about table placements as she walked in. “They’re breaking their holidays for this. It’s amazing.”
The White Fairy Tale Love Ball
Here’s our first look at the illustrations Natalia has prepared for her upcoming White Fairy Tale Love Ball, which will be held July 6 in Widewille Castle, owned by fashion designer Valentino Garavani, near Paris. For this event, Natalia asked forty-two international couturiers and designers to each create a fairytale dress to be auctioned in aid of her Naked Heart Foundation. All the dresses were photographed by renowned photographer Paolo Roversi in a special photo shoot modeled by Natalia herself. Shots from the photoshoot have already been given to various magazines, including Vogue, and will appear in future issues. For more information about the event, visit nakedheart.org.

Rags to riches? A modern-day Cinderella? When people discuss Natalia Vodianova, these phrases get thrown around a lot. It is true that Natalia had a poor upbringing, but as she puts it, “I know some people would have wanted to kill themselves, but I thought my childhood was happy. My mother worked nearly 24 hours a day, and I realize things were difficult, but I managed to find a lot of light there. I had this weird knowledge that, one day, things would be good.”
