Louis Vuitton is set to open several new boutiques this year throughout the world as the iconic luxury handbag house prepares to unveil their first fragrance later in the year and expand their current jewelry line. Last night, Louis Vuitton kicked off the year of new store openings by hosting an exclusive party at their new Louis Vuitton shop in Rome, Italy. The event, Maison Louis Vuitton Roma Etoile Cocktail, attracted Louis Vuitton’s top clients as well as notable socialites and celebrities.
The famed handbag collection served as the backdrop to the event’s red carpet and everyone who arrived for the soiree carried a Louis Vuitton handbag from the current collection. Celebrities such as Cate Blanchett, Peter Marino, Natalia Vodianova, Antoine Arnault, Lauren Santo Domingo, Diane Fleri and Catherine Deneuve were on hand last night to celebrate the opening of the new store.
Guests of the “Maison Louis Vuitton Roma Etoile Cocktail” store opening event were treated to a special viewing of the store before it opens to the public this weekend. The event also showed off the new spring handbag collection which features Louis Vuitton’s iconic “Alma” satchel in bright, seasonal colors such as orange, teal and canary yellow.
The premiere fragrance will launch later this year and Louis Vuitton’s expanded jewelry collection will also launch next fall. Louis Vuitton opened new stores in November and December of 2011 in London and Sydney respectively. The rest of the new Louis Vuitton stores will open throughout the world during 2012. The luxury house has kept the exact locations of their new stores secret in order to make the unveiling more exciting when they are ready to open.
